Kaohsiung MRT Stations are the First in Taiwan to Provide COVID-19 Vaccination More Convenient to Get Vaccinated by Taking the MRT

To serve commuting citizens and to provide convenient vaccination services, Kaohsiung City Government makes special arrangements to set up COVID-19 vaccination stations at Zuoying Station (Red Line R16) and Central Park Station (Red Line R9) of Kaohsiung MRT in coordination with the Phase 13 Vaccination Schedule of “Free COVID-19 Vaccine Booking Platform” to facilitate commuting public to the stations for vaccination, the public are also welcome to take the MRT to the stations to get vaccinated. BNT vaccines and AZ vaccines are provided in Phase 13. Eligible persons can complete the appointment for vaccination at the “Free COVID-19 Vaccine Booking Platform”. Citizens of Gushan, Ciaotou, Nanzih, Zuoying, Sanmin and Sinsing Districts can make an appointment for vaccination at MRT Zuoying Station B1 (near the ticket checking box door of Exit 1); citizens of Siaogang, Cianjhen, Xinxing, Cianjin and Sammin Districts can make an appointment for vaccination at MRT Central Park Station (Exit 1). Availability is limited, please make an appointment quickly.
Commander Mayor Chen Chi-Mai stresses that the current important epidemic prevention policy is to improve the vaccine coverage rate as soon as possible, and creating a herd immunity effect will become the key to the victory in the battle against COVID-19. Mayor Chen also calls on citizens to still follow the new living principles of epidemic prevention after completing the vaccination, such as washing hands frequently, wearing masks and maintaining social distance to reduce the risk of infection.
